DOCKERS CONTINUE FINE RUN
Hull Dockers were the only team from our area involved in a curtailed NCL programme on Saturday and came away from Askam with an excellent 32-18 victory. That was the Dockers third successive victory and consolidated their position in the play-offs. Considering they were well beaten at Beverley at the beginning of the month it's been a tremendous turnaround for the Green and Whites.
Although West Hull didn't play in the Premier Division, results went their way with Hunslet Club Parkside's 20-4 home defeat by Siddal one of the season's shocks. Egremont also failed to make headway going down 25-4 at Rochdale Mayfield but the real challenge in now coming from a resurgent Thatto Heath Crusaders, who are up to third after beating Kelso 46-6.
In the Yorkshire Men's League Premier Division, West Hull had a fine 20-8 victory at Queensbury while in Division One Hull Wyke beat Oulton 38-20. Myton Warriors have been having a torrid time of late but had no problems seeing off Heworth 40-4 in the Alliance.
