Skirlaugh Bounce Back! John Mooney's Rugby League Round Up
After last week’s thrashing by Featherstone Lions, Skirlaugh bounced back with a thrilling 28-26 victory at Dewsbury Moor Maroons in Division One of the National Conference League.
The same Division saw Myton Warriors see off Normanton Knights, relegated from the Premier Division last season, 20-10 at Marist.
West Hull kept up their relentless challenge for the Premier Division with a 50-16 victory at Leigh Miners Rangers. Wests are still unbeaten in the League this season and have gone top on points difference over Wath Brow Hornets with a game in hand.
In Division Two, Beverley had few problems seeing off East Leeds 38-12 at the Potting Shed but Dockers lost at home again, this time by 37-30 to West Bowling at Tower Grange.
East Hull, already in the Final of the Yorkshire Men’s League’s Forty20 Cup against Bramley Buffalos, sit proudly at the top of the Premier Division after a 26-0 victory over Cutsyke Raiders.
Myton Warriors A went to Lock Lane Academy and came away with a 32-14 victory while Kings Cross Park beat Hull Wyke 18-14.
Skirlaugh Bulls took on Wyke (Bradford) at Eastside and the visitors won a high-scoring game 48-34.
