Hakim Miloudi: Playing in the Super League is my long term ambition.
You don't have to be a Hull F.C fan to know of Hakim Miloudi. The vibrant outside-back is a Super League favourite since making his First Team debut earlier this year against Wakefield. Prior to making his Super League debut, Miloudi was sent to Doncaster on loan, equalling the club record for most points scored in a game, after scoring 32 points in a win over Coventry Bears.
Recently the collective performance of Hull F.C has been disappointing with a number of players out through injury there is no doubt some of the team have also been playing with injuries too. But today's article focuses on the individual talent of Hakim Miloudi.
He has divided opinion and receives a lot of tough love from F.C boss Lee Radford, but there is no doubt Hakim has bags of talent. One of his more notable performances was against St Helens in the most dramatic Challenge Cup quarter final you'll ever see. Hull F.C (much to their own doing) were up against it with 3 yellow cards, but Hakim took the game by the scruff of the neck and looked strong and dangerous every time he carried the ball, eventually scoring a try which gave F.C a fighting chance of getting through.
I recently caught up with 25 year old Hakim Miloudi to discuss his Grassroots story and life as a Super League player so far. Here's what he told GRM:
1. Where did you play your amateur rugby?
"I grew up in Perpignan in the south of France, I played my amateur rugby with Saint-Estève XIII Catalan, also known as XIII Catalan amateur."
2. What have you enjoyed the most about living in Hull and playing for Hull F.C
"I love the fans, it's crazy here! The fans are very good to me and I have never seen support from fans quite like Hull F.C fans
My favourite moment this season was playing against Catalans Dragons with Hull F.C. This game was special because I scored in front of my family".
3. What is your long term goal in Rugby?
"My long term ambition is to play rugby in the Super League. I want to continue to progress with Hull FC and have a place in the team every weekend!"
Thanks for taking the time to speak to GRM Hakim! We wish you all the best with your career in the Super League!
