Liam Duffy: South London Chargers.
Liam attended Hull University between 2008 and 2012, and during his time in the North East, he played for the University Rugby League Team as a second rower, eventually captaining the team in his final year.
Liam and I share a few things in common, Hull University Alumni being one, but above all we really appreciate the grind involved in Grassroots Rugby and buzz it gives us week in and week out.
Liam now plays for the South London Chargers, a conference league south team with high standards and high expectations.
"Chargers gives you great routine and structure with twice per week training, Saturday matches and most importantly, a group of weirdos to have a few beers (or espresso martinis - the official chargers club drink) after a game. We obviously play during the summer and train right on Clapham Common, and there aren't many places more buzzing than the common on a sunny afternoon."
Away from Rugby Liam keeps busy running Southside Speed, an impressive strength and conditioning platform which facilities male and females who wish to train like professional athletes. The program is underpinned by sprints, jumps and polymetrics.
